What to wear? What is the individual most comfortable in? I have found that if people are comfortable with what they are wearing, then their personality is more likely to be captured. Solids are best - it helps keep the focus on the subject, especially in family portraits. Coordinating outfits for group shots look great! Also, keep in mind that I like to photograph hands and bare feet!

What to expect? Expect silly jokes, tongue twisters, and small talk - it will help your child relax. Candid shots, as well as posed photographs will be taken. Be ready to tell me some of your ideas on where to go, or what to do - I love being spontaneous! Children often have great ideas too, and when they're involved in the decision making, they're much more cooperative and willing to participate!


Timeline? Generally, I spend anywhere between 30 minutes to an hour or so per sitting. I like to take my time, making sure to really capture the personality of my subject(s).
Proofs will be available for viewing 7-10 days after the event. Prints are ready 1-2 weeks after purchase.
